Synopsis

Snake Eyes (2021) is an action-packed origin story from the G.I. Joe universe that focuses on how a mysterious fighter becomes the silent ninja known as Snake Eyes. The Hindi dubbed version keeps the same intense action and drama, making it accessible for a wider audience, especially fans of martial arts and Hollywood action films.

The story follows a lone fighter who is taken in by an ancient Japanese clan after saving one of their heirs. In exchange, he is trained in the ways of the ninja. However, his past is filled with revenge, betrayal, and hidden motives, which slowly put his loyalty to the test. As secrets are revealed, the line between friend and enemy becomes unclear.

Visually, the movie is stylish with neon-lit locations, ninja training sequences, and hand-to-hand combat scenes. Some action moments are impressive and energetic, especially the sword fights and underground combat scenes. However, the shaky camera work and heavy editing sometimes make the fights hard to follow.

Henry Golding performs well in the lead role, showing both emotional struggle and physical intensity. Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow also stands out with a strong presence. The chemistry between characters is decent, but the script doesn’t give enough depth to fully develop them.

The biggest weakness of the film is its story. It tries to mix revenge drama, ninja training, and G.I. Joe universe-building, but the result feels uneven. Some parts are engaging, while others feel predictable and slow. Fans expecting a strong connection to classic G.I. Joe elements may also feel disappointed.
