Aghathiyaa is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language historical horror action thriller film written and directed by Pa. Vijay. The film features Jiiva in a dual role, alongside Arjun Sarja and Raashii Khanna, with supporting performances by Edward Sonnenblick, Matylda, Redin Kingsley, Shah Ra, Senthil, Radha Ravi, Rohini, Charle, and Indraja Shankar. Produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International and co-produced by Aneesh Arjun Dev under Wam India, the film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy and editing by San Lokesh.
The narrative centers on Aghathiyan (Jiiva), a struggling art director facing financial hardships due to the abrupt cancellation of his film project. Complicating matters, his mother, Anjalai (Rohini), is battling bone cancer, necessitating costly treatments. In an effort to recoup his losses, Aghathiyan, along with his fiancée Veena (Raashii Khanna), decides to transform a rented French bungalow in Puducherry into a haunted house attraction. During the renovation, they discover an antique piano, a skeletal corpse, and an 8mm film reel, which unveil a portal to the 1940s.
